Urbanmetry is a data company that harvests, cleans, and analyzes large amounts of city and property data from emerging nations, utilizing its proprietary algorithms to decode cities’ data trends and patterns. This aggregated data does not exist otherwise. When compared to more developed countries like the UK, US, China, and Singapore, clean data is not readily available in emerging countries. Since 2014, Urbanmetry has dedicated a significant amount of its resources to restructuring and cleaning up data from over 50 different government ministries and departments, as well as layering data from private sources on top of that. Urbanmetry can then develop a wide range of products and applications for its customers. This unlocks powerful insights related to urban development, city planning, and mortgage and property assessments, allowing institutions in emerging countries to make decisions based on accurate and timely data instead of assumptions and individual experiences. These insights are geared towards ensuring sustainable development by analyzing the effects of climate change on mortgages, property values, and infrastructure development. Urbanmetry has successfully monetized its data for a range of customers and started generating revenue last year. Already profitable, equipped with an extensive database covering Malaysia, Japan, and Vietnam, and utilizing a lean SaaS model, Urbanmetry is well-prepared to scale its operations and service offerings.
