Elvis & Kresse reclaims materials that would otherwise go to a landfill, transforms them into a range of beautiful luxury products, and donates 50 percent of profits to charities related to the collected materials. Elvis & Kresse was established to save London's decommissioned fire hoses. Now, their highly skilled craftspeople transform fire hoses and other used materials into beautifully designed bags, wallets, belts, and more. Over 300 tons of material have been reclaimed and transformed, and the business now rescues more than 15 different niche wastes -- from parachute silk to coffee sacks. Their next challenge is to transform the 800,000 tons of leather scrap generated each year globally into beautiful, valuable goods.
