Micro-nutrient malnutrition is a debilitating issue in sub-Saharan Africa. According to the WHO, Copenhagen Consensus, and World bank reports, Vitamin A deficiency compromises the immunity of 42 percent of children under age 5, while 61 percent of children and 64 percent of women are anemic. Additionally, 60,000 women hemorrhage to the point of death during childbirth annually due to severe iron deficiency. Both cost and accessibility create major barriers to proper nutrition. Edom Nutritional Solutions source moringa oleifera -- a green, leafy plant that provides sufficient vitamins and minerals to eliminate micro-nutrient deficiencies -- to fortify staple flours. Affordable economy packs enable the majority of people living on $1-3 per person, per day to access Edom's line of products, ensuring better nutrition for children and adults alike.

Notable Achievements

  • Partnering with 183 schools to provide good nutrition/school feeding programs that feed 0ver 80,000 children every day.
  • Engaging over 1,800 farmers as suppliers of cereals and the nutritious moringa leaves thus broadening our socioeconomic impact.
  • Reaching well over 2 million repeat customers annually who purchase the nutritious staple cereals and flours.
