Claro Energy aims to make water affordable and readily available for farmers and rural communities in India. The company operates in high power deficit, diesel dependent, agrarian, and poor economic regions, using solar energy to develop mass irrigation solutions and generate power at point of use. They offer the entire spectrum of solar pumping solutions, across applications such as irrigation, drinking water, aeration, and fisheries.
Claro Energy’s farmers experience an increase in income, reduced cost of irrigation by 50 percent, significant reduction of diesel, and more sustainable and prosperous economies. Claro has expanded their value-add to include mini-grid power systems, which become the economic centre of the villages in which they operate, as well as a produce marketplace to serve their farmers end-to-end.
