Christie is the founder and CEO of Rebellyous Foods, a food production technology start-up working to make plant-based chicken price-competitive with conventional chicken.

Lagally is a mechanical engineer and the holder of multiple patents in manufacturing technology. She began her career in the aerospace industry, working on testing, designing, and manufacturing commercial airplanes at Boeing. Lagally now leads the design and deployment of novel manufacturing equipment that addresses the two most significant obstacles facing the plant-based meat industry: cost and quality at scale. She holds a BA in Organizational Psychology, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering.
