ATKO is an eco-friendly material company that upcycles leather waste into other sustainable leather materials including natural recycled real leather and the world’s first leather fiber. ATKO was founded in 2012 and has since launched numerous products including leather, leather suede, leather yarn, and leather textiles while continuing to engage in R&D on environmentally friendly recycled materials. ATKO has partnered with Leather Working Group to collect scraps of pure leather where the scraps are then processed with strict quality standards. ATKO converts the leather scraps into new products using no additional chemicals or water to produce their leather. Currently, ATKO converts 400,000 tons per year of waste leather scrap into usable products.

Notable Achievements

  • Raised US $15M from Yellowdog, KB Investment, Lotte Accelerator and more.
  • Awarded the Leather category Grand Prize in 2019 at Première Vision Paris, the world's largest fashion textile fair.
