Annie founded The Jackfruit Company in 2011 as a premedical student working in India to implement a maternal and child healthcare program she’d co-founded with her brother. She graduated first in her class at Harvard College in 2013 and briefly attended Harvard Medical School before focusing full time on scaling the company. She’s led The Jackfruit Company and Jack & Annie’s to pioneer the largest global supply chain and leading brands and R&D for jackfruit, including the top-selling brand in Frozen Plant-Based Meat for the Natural Channel. Annie has been recognized as a Global Good Fund Fellow, Resolution Fellow, one of Glamour’s Top 10 College Women, a Fulbright Scholar, Rockefeller Fellow, Honorary Fellow at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT, Forbes 30 Under 30 (2017, Social Entrepreneurs), Top Women in Grocery (2019) and an Unreasonable Fellow (2019).
